Jahangir Siddiqui originated JS Group in 1970 and led the JS
Group to be one of the greatest and most profitable business industry in
Pakistan with over 20,000 personnel.
He retired from executive responsibilities at JS Group in
1999 however remains consultant and advisor in which capability the JS Group is
competent to name on him to search guiding on strategic problems. He moreover
serves as Chairman of the JS Bank Limited.
Until now he has served as a Member on the Economic Advisory
Board formed by the Govt. of Pakistan in 1999 and the Exchange Reforms
Committee of the Govt. of Pakistan which pull Pakistan’s capital markets to
overseas investors.
Jahangir Siddiqui was a member of the Karachi Stock Exchange
since 1970 to 2001. He also served as a member of the Privatization commission
when it used to be formed in 1991. He was elected President of Karachi Stock
Exchange in 1990 and 1991.
Jahangir Siddiqui serves on the number of Govt. of Pakistan
boards and committees, in certain those regarding investment, taxation and
finance. He advises the Govt. on more than a few concerns.
He serves on the boards of a number of Pakistan’s largest
businesses and make a contribution to 2 charitable foundations connected with
JS Group.
